Today, we're excited to introduce some exciting new features that will take your experience with our app to the next level.
Separate administration of guest and internal WiFi
The security and efficiency of your networks are top priorities for us. With the new feature to manage guestWiFi and internal WiFi separately, you can now switch between these two networks with ease and configure them individually. This means more control and security for you and your guests.
These are the features of the guest WLAN:
- Client isolation - all connected devices are isolated from each other
- Multicast traffic is prevented - devices cannot send data to "all".
- A login page can be optionally switched on - for legal protection
Signal bundling as required: More bandwidth or redundancy
Depending on the application purpose, it may be necessary to increase bandwidth or prioritize redundancy. With the new signal bonding setting feature (In technical jargon, "bonding") in the Eventnet app, you can now choose whether you want more bandwidth ("Speed" option) for faster data transfer rates or redundancy ("Streaming" option) for a more stable connection. The latter feature is especially useful for applications where a constant and uninterrupted connection is critical.
These are available modes in detail:
Speed – In this mode, all signals are bundled to achieve a higher bandwidth. The data load is distributed across all available lines.
You can imagine it as if a road now had three lanes instead of one.
Streaming – in this mode, all data packets are duplicated and sent over all available lines.
You can imagine it as if three cars on a three-lane road were transporting the same package with the same contents. The package that arrives first is used.
The Eventnet app gives you more flexibility and control over your network connections. Of course, we are constantly developing the app and implementing new features.
