What is onboarding? #

Onboarding refers to the steps to get from the invitation (e.g. via e-mail) to the session interface with the content. This can be done differently depending on the configuration by the administrator / organizer of the session.

The following onboarding methods are possible:

• Click on an access link sent by e-mail
• Anonymous access
• Self-registration
• Third-party system (e.g. log-in via Facebook / Google etc.)

Example onboarding

• Opening the access link from the e-mail
• You will receive an email before each event with an access link directly to the session.
• By clicking on "Join online session" you will land in the onboarding or log-in.

Note: This email is customizable by the organizer, so it may differ in appearance and wording from the image below.

Log in #

Depending on the setting by the organizer, there are two variants for a log-in:

• Log-in via personal access link: The link above is only for you and already contains a key that uniquely identifies you. A further log-in is no longer required.
• Log-in via single sing-on (log-in with existing organizational access): In this case, you will be redirected to your organization's login page and enter the Streamboxy Stage after successful login.

Password prompt #

Depending on the configuration, another password prompt, a session password or a one-time password can be requested.

Session Password #

The session password is the same for all participants of the session, is assigned by the organizer and is communicated to you before the event (e.g. by e-mail). Enter this password in the empty field of the window that opens and click on "Submit".

One-time password #

The requested password can also be a One Time Passcode. In this case, you will be automatically redirected to the input page for the one-time password.

As soon as you are on this page, the necessary one-time password is sent to the specified e-mail address in the background. As soon as you have received this e-mail with the one-time password, you can now enter it in the input field.

Clicking the "Submit" button will take you to your event.

Note: The one-time password is sent whenever you want to join the session and is also valid only once for five minutes.

If you refresh the page or request a new one-time password by clicking "Request new one-time password", a new one-time password will be sent and older one-time passwords will become invalid.

Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy #

Before you can join the session with the access link, you have to agree once to the privacy policy and the GTC.

If this has already been done, for example, during registration, this step is omitted.

Tech Check #

After that, if configured, the technology check takes place when joining for the first time.
