Audio streaming directly to guests' smartphones
Simply use your guests' smartphones as receiving devices for different sound signals.
There are many reasons to send an audio signal directly to individual participants. In the past, services of this kind were associated with considerable effort (and costs), because a receiver device was needed for each guest. In addition, there was the uncertainty of whether the frequencies used by the system would remain interference-free during the event.
Nowadays, audio signals can be streamed to participants' smartphones very easily and without any significant effort. You don't even need an app for that.
What is audio streaming suitable for at events:
- Live translations/interpreting
- Congresses
- Events in museums
- Silent Discos
- Conferences where silence is important
- Exhibitions
- Live Music Events & Festivals
- Support for the hearing impaired
What are the requirements for audio streaming?
Three things are needed:
- Audio source
- Computer with Windows / OSX and an audio streaming tool
- a stable WiFi with sufficient bandwidth
You simply connect the audio source(s) to the computer (e.g. via the Mic input, a USB audio interface or network protocols such as Dante). The streaming tool now generates a link that you can send to the participants. They can then receive the audio stream via their smartphones, tablets or laptops.
