Online events are coming: Live streams, web casts and virtual conferences

Online events, fortunately, will never be able to replace real events. But they can be a practical alternative when circumstances require it.

Very likely, face-to-face meetings can never be replaced by technical solutions. But sometimes it is not possible to meet with conference participants or customers in person. Either because time is short or the travel distance is out of proportion. Or when, as is currently the case due to the COVID 19 pandemic, trade fairs and other major events are cancelled.

In the past, we too were often faced with the task of organizing meetings online. The coronavirus crisis has even forced us to do so in some cases.

But unfortunately we were more than disappointed by most solutions for online events. The setup was simply too complicated - after all, all participants, regardless of platform, must be able to join the conference. It took us some time to find a solution that met all our needs. Drawing on our experience with data services and successfully running live streams and web casts, we put together a system that meets the needs of most conferences while remaining affordable and mobile.

The following aspects were important to us:

• quick and easy commissioning
• At least 720p resolution in the image quality
• brilliant overall quality
• Echo cancellation and surround sound - because you naturally want to talk to participants in remote locations as naturally as if they were sitting next to you
• Independence - our system also works independently with its own Internet access if required
• Simplest handling for participants
• free design of the program through interactive tools (e.g. virtual whiteboard, surveys, tests, presentations, etc.)

Web cast system now for rent with us

We would like to share our experience in the form of the product "Web-Cast Platform" and offer it to our customers for rent. Since quite a few trade fairs, conferences and congresses have now been cancelled due to the corona virus, we have prioritized the offer and are making the solution available with immediate effect.

The handling is also very simple for the participants at the remote locations. All that needs to be done is to send an invitation link to all participants. After that, they can call up the virtual room and only have to be accepted by the conference organizer. Participation by telephone with a dial-in number and desktop sharing for presentations is also possible.
